30in. nitro chopperlump barrels, rib engraved 'J. PURDEY & SONS. AUDLEY HOUSE. SOUTH AUDLEY STREET. LONDON. MADE OF SIR JOSEPH WHITWORTH'S FLUID PRESSED STEEL.', and '1' at the breech end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 3/4 choke, left wall at 19, self-opening action with removable striker discs, toplever engraved '1', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, arrow cocking-indicators, best fine acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, brushed finish overall, 14 3/4in. figured historic replacement stock, recent replacement fore-end wood, weight 7lb.

Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that the gun was completed on the 19th July 1904 as a 12-bore hammerless ejector gun with 30in. Whitworth steel barrels for 'Ian Cameron'.
The records show it was repurchased in september 1916 and subsequently sold to Lt.-Col. Hutchinson on the 28th February 1918.
At some time in the 1930's, the gun was purchased and restocked for a Colonel Latham.
